DZ Roll-Off Truck and Blower Truck Drivers
Geoscape Contracting is currently looking for 3 DZ Drivers with clean abstracts to join our team. We are offering positions for Roll-off tri-axle, Blower truck and Water truck drivers. Approximate job start date is April 1st, 2014. A typical work week is Monday to Friday from 6am to 6pm, plus a half day every second Saturday.

Blower Truck Driver: 
Applying seed and mulch with our blower truck to naturalized or newly planted areas.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Wears provided clean company uniform and PPE (Protective Personal Equipment). This includes green patch steel toed boots.
2) Performs a mandatory by-law inspection of your truck and fill out your daily log book each day. Maintain accurate records and logs.
3) Loads the blower truck with compost using front end loader.
4) Perform vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance before, during and after trips, this also includes regular greasing and maintenance preformed on trucks.
5) When you are on site, the foreman is your supervisor and will give you direction; you are to report to him.
6) Keep the interior and exterior of cab clean.
7) Participate in weekly Toolbox Meetings.
8) Maintains a level of professionalism on job sites, may have encounters with clients and general public.
9) Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills: 
1) Minimum of 2 years experience in a driving position. Experience in terra-seeding would be an asset.
2) Competence to work with digital control panels.
3) Ability to perform the physical tasks as needed.
4) Capability of following directions and completing given tasks from supervisors.
5) Ability to complete paperwork and be fluent in both reading and writing in English.
6) Possession of a valid Ontario Driver’s License, clean abstract, DZ license and ability to get to different jobsites around the GTA.

Roll-Off Tri-axle and Water Truck Drivers
These duties include transporting materials and equipment to and from our job sites throughout the GTA area, picking up materials needed from our suppliers, watering plant material and keeping our jobsites clean. Working on the jobsites along with the crews is another requirement for this position.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Wears provided clean company uniform and PPE (Protective Personal Equipment). This includes green patch steel toed boots.
2) Following and understanding THE GREENPRINT (procedure manual) and the Geoscape Handbook which explain each particular task in more detail.
3) Performs a mandatory by-law inspection of your truck and fill out your daily log book each day. Maintain accurate records and logs.
4) When you are on site, the foreman is your supervisor and will give you direction; you are to report to him.
5) Communication must be kept between the office, yourself and the site foremen. ETA’s must be given to foremen in order to optimize communication.
6) Responsible for proper loading and securing of freight to prevent movement and allow safe transport. Assist in loading and unloading as required.
7) Perform vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance before, during and after trips, this also includes regular greasing and maintenance preformed on trucks.
8) Keep the interior and exterior of cab clean.
9) Participate in weekly Toolbox Meetings.
10) Maintains a level of professionalism on job sites, may have encounters with clients and general public.
11) Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills: 
1) Minimum of 2 years experience in a driving position.
2) Capability of following directions and completing given tasks from supervisors.
3) Contribute in a team atmosphere with a positive attitude.
4) Ability to complete paperwork and be fluent in both reading and writing in English.
5) Demonstrate the ability to self-motivate and display the skills to work on your own productively.
6) Possession of a valid Ontario Driver’s License, clean abstract, DZ license and ability to get to different jobsites around the GTA.
